You sick and tired of seeing the same four jungles in every game?

Want to try something that will scare the shit out of your opponents once you finally walk out of the jungle?

I present to you: Diana Diana, the Scorn of the Jungle (Moon)

Lets take a look at why Diana can roflstomp all your enemies and show them the true power of the moon.

Passive: Moonsilver blade. This passive not only gives you 20% attack speed, it also gives you an AOE cleave every three autos. More AS + item 3077 every three autos = Awesome clears. The jungle bows down to the power of the moon.

Q: Crescent strike. An AOE skill shot that damages everything in its path of lunar fury. What makes this so good? Your opponents are used to dodging straight skill shots, so what the hell are they gonna do when you throw out a curved skillshot? They’re going to walk into it like idiots, that's what, leaving you open to ulting them, which we’ll get to later. I won't even mention the feeling of Q'ing a massive wave of minions at turret all with one spell. That's an instant 400 gold in less than 2 seconds.

W: Pale Cascade. This ability gives you a AP scaling shield, orbited by three AOE damaging AP scaling balls. If you smack your enemies in the face with all three of your balls, that shield is reapplied to allow to wreak further havoc on you enemies.

E: Moonfall. Diana has a no damage orianna ult that slows your enemies when you pull them towards you. Perfect for lining up your passive cleave of death, and making sure that pesky Caitlyn trying to run away comes right back to you. Oh, Kat jumped in and ulted? Pull her in and let your whole team taste her destruction.

R: Lunar Rush: This ultimate sends you streaking with lunar vengeance to an opponent of your choice. Already on a insanely low cooldown of twenty seconds at level 1, If you target someone that was just hit with your Q, the cooldown is refreshed, allowing you to double, or even triple dash around your enemies, weaving in and out of a team fight, and causing confusion and death everywhere.

Not to mention, she's has pretty awesome ratios on her skills:

Passive: .8 Q: .7 W: .6 max on both shield and balls R: .6

But you know what the best part is? It’s not her amazing sticking potential, or her great combination of sustained and burst damage, or by building full AP she gets tankier. It’s that she can clear the entire jungle on the firsts run no problem. Including the* raptors*. You heard me. She can clear those fucking demon chickens no problemo.

And with all these non-mana mids, you're free to take your blue buff whenever you want to. Hell, you can take it when you do have a mana using mid. It's your blue buff. Use it when you need it!

So what are you doing sitting here whining about lee sin and vi? Get out there and melt some faces with the power of the moon!

i tried diana for awhile, my biggest issue with her was her lack of presence pre6. shes really fun and strong, especially if you have a really sucessful chain of ganks after you hit 6, but i feel useless until then especially against jarvan/vi who will be chain ganking after they get double buffs.

She was a good choice when chilling smite was at its peak because it made her pre-6 ganks not hilariously awful. Even still if she gets invaded she's automatically dead since she can't outduel a Soraka without her ult.

And than struggle with massive manaissues whenever blue isn't up and zero gankingpressure pre 6 while not scaling great into the late as you need some time to apply your damage while your rather squishy despite shield in a teamfight. If you enemys let you farm up till 6 and you start to snowball from a succesfull gank, she's a beast, but vs competent enemys she isn't all that great.

Diana does have a very good clear in the early jungle, which is what makes most other off-meta junglers suffer. What I don't like is having to play Diana.

Her gap-close is a little too conditional for my taste, and she has a pretty long ramp-up time. I feel that she's similar to Rengar (both bursty assasins with level 6 power spikes), but her CC isn't quite as good and she requires a little more gold.

My opinion aside, good point and I really like your post. Very relevant.
