ADC vs APC

vs I play these two a lot, I love assassin play style and i rarely use anything else. My question for the boards is why is there an inability to play ekko bot in the ADC position? I've used APC's to steam roll games plenty of times, when people bother playing with someone there. It's like the community doesn't allow an APC to exist. It was particularly powerful in S4 but can still, with the right team composition, be a huge thing. Particularly Ekko, his W ability and huge burst gives him opportunities that most supports offer for an ADC champion like Tristana. And as much as i love the ADC spot, I can't continuously play with a single type of champion when another has the ability to stun or slow with their scaling damage. Yes, Tristanas slow on her W gives a huge advantage but its too easily shut down mid-jump because shes still target-able in-flight. What i'm really trying to say is, Why do people think that an APC or hybrid player in the ADC position is a bad idea? Tell me things. <3 them leagues.

You need someone who can provide consistent ranged autoattack damage on your team, to destroy towers and take other objectives.

That's why there's always a marksman on every team.

There's no reason you can't take any champions you wish bot lane - kill lanes, support and mage, etc. - but you'll still need to put a marksman somewhere else, either in the jungle (Twitch?), mid (Varus/Ez?), or top (Vayne/Quinn?), because their power to take objectives is too useful to ignore.

Other than that, most people don't expect it, so you may have a hard time if you pick it in SoloQ, because it's "not meta". If you do well, people will be happy; if you do badly, expect to get flamed and reported. Sad but true.

Ekko may be good in that said role, however you'll find that many other champions aren't. The adc role is built around farming and having a good late game while mid is focused on having a great mid game as well as putting pressure on the map where it is necessary.

Ap champs rely on levels to do damage, you don't get much XP in the bot lane and since apc need leveled abilities to be useful they will become extremely weak during the mid game. For example a level 6 Jinx can afford to be level 6 when the top lane is lvl 9 since all she needs is some damage and she is good to go. A level 6 Kassadin cannot afford to be 3 lvls behind the other players since he needs ranked up abilities to be useful.
