State of Ranked
Before I begin, I would like to say that in no way I am raging or crying about any of the matters in Ranked ladder in League of Legends ...
Now, as a historical note I have been almost Gold level in ranked during Season 2, but have been dropped and been bouncing between Bronze V and I ever since Season 3 and the new ladder mmr system.
In old terms of ELO: Bronze ( or ELO Hell as some called it) has been anywhere below 800 mark whereas "Pro" players have been around 1800+ mark during Season 2. Ever since Season 3, the Bronze has stayed at same 800, but the leagues above it have moved up in ELO/MMR ratings, highest being like 3000 mark nowadays.
Splitting each ranking tier into 5 divisions was a bad idea from the start. If you model the ladder system from Starcraft then why would you make it even more complicated and create a huge ocean gap between lower ranks and so-called "pro" players.
Ranked games are now like a lottery gamble (especially in lower tiers) as one would hope that you will get to play on one side with people who realize that the game is about objectives and not kills, that controlling buffs such as Dragon is vital to success, people who will not troll during champ select or go afk during the game, fail at lane matchups and not ask for help in case they are outmatched.
We all have good and bad games, but even if things turn for bad that doesn't mean they have to be annoying and rageful for the people one plays with. I main ADC role, but can do other ones to various degrees of success. I main Jinx, Varus, Miss Fortune, Graves and some other ADCs and by no means I am on par with the LCS level, but it is very frustrating and that frustration leads to anger and ruins the gameplay time when I try out of my skin to play the game and win only to be reminded that it was all in vain and a waste of time ...
Objectives win the game, trolls kill the players ...
