What's the deal with the POS client performance, and how to fix it

A very simple issue, really. I have an 8 core 3.2ghz cpu, 20gb of ram system with a 4gb, 2ghz cpu video board that achieves 60+ fps in all 3d / 2d modern games that i play.

Yet league of lags client plays at THREE FRAMES PER SECOND when loading, when going into champ select, when bringing up the loot, when banning... you name it. No more than 6fps in each loading phase, regardless of my SSD drives. And I've asked a couple of friends that still play league of lags about it, and they also experience it identically. AMD or Intel cpus make no difference. AMD or nvidia vidcards make no difference.

The client performance is vomit inducing. Even animations play choppy. And don't get me started on the countdowns when you're playing ranked and you lose 5 seconds into countdowns because animations play at one frame per second.

It's so pathetic it's beyond explanation: how on earth is it possible? What POS, outdated "technology" is behind this garbage?

Wouldn't it be time for these performance issues to be fixed? I have updated drivers and have tried quite the few workarounds, but none worked, so I don't think it'll get any better than this until they fix it.

Any suggestion is welcome, since what support only does is cut & paste one useless "reply" that looks machine made, and which obviously does nothing at all to solve the problem.

you know what's fun

is that they spent well over a year presumably millions of dollars

for this new client

when the old one

ran perfectly

but at least we have sparkles
