How can you not refund champs and skin after rework?

I can't believe we can't refund a rework champion. I mean, i paid for something and you're taking this something and change it completly. Thats absolutly not fair. for exemple, i've bought a lot of fiora skin and now that you screwed her, she is totally useless now so i will not play her. I think the minimum things you should do is an rp refund it will be spend in the game anyways...i still can't believe what you did with her, she's so bad now...

You don't really own anything, bro. Riot can disable the entire game and you will not receive any money back.

Just enjoy stuff while you can, or stop buying things if it upsets you.

Lots of players used to abuse it when they were offering refunds on reworks so they stopped. You made your bed LoL community, now lie in it.

Guys, I felt this same way a while ago til I told myself that I should just learn to adapt to the changes Riot. Whether I like them or not. All we're doing is making worthless rants on the boards. Riot has already stated A LONG TIME AGO that they will stop doing Refunds for Reworked Champs, Just as they will stop Traditional Skins. You guys act like Riot has never given us anything for free cause if you look back, they gave us 3 free refunds, URF and all the other enjoyable mini games (They could have made us purchase it with RP), Free Champ Rotation, and all the Sales, Trad Skin, Mundo skin (and we still didnt get it because we didnt work hard enough...not riots fault..in fact Riot's employees joined up to help) GP Skin, etc. This is a company, if Riot was all buddy-buddy and "fair" (most of their policies are fair. Keep in mind that they arent a perfect company and made and will make MANY mistakes) with all of their policies, they'd make significantly less money.

I feel like my purchase of Skarner (and the desert scorpion skin) are completely pointless as once the rework for him goes through, I will no longer be able to use him without being a hinderance as I like NON-ranked support play.

I also wish I could get a refund. Am I going to get it, though? Nope. After hearing about abusing the system on past reworks, I am very disappointed as I would actually agree that because Riot does not want to repeat the past, they should avoid refunds.

I hate it when I agree with the point that hurts me.

You have Fiora and are sad. I have Skarner and I am sad.

Let's be sad together and just accept nothing can ever stay the same forever.

I asked riot for a refund on the three Fiora skins I own as well... both in several posts on the boards and in a support ticket. They sent me a e-mail basically saying "we don't give refunds for skins after VU's anymore". In short, riot doesn't care. They fed me some line about "we attempt to maintain transparency" and linked me to a site that basically just listed the rework schedule. Essentially it was all just a polite middle finger. Showing me what champions are due for remodels soon (and it only listed the four "juggernauts" and poppy anyways, so not terribly helpful) doesn't do anything but show me who not to buy skins for in the IMMEDIATE future. Did you own a skin already for a champ that we're about to change? Tough crap. We're gonna make it look how we want and if you don't like it buy new skins!

It reeked of the traditional stubborn money-grubbing that a lot of companies are known for and Riot is saying that the only way to assure the skins you purchase with your real money aren't mutilated into something you would NEVER have spent money on... is to not buy skins at all.

Riot should definitely refund everyone who wants a refund. Besides, at least 90% of the people who get refunds will just turn around and buy a different skin, so it's not like they really are going to lose money.

ADC Pest Control wasn't actually wrong. There was a lot of people who never played a champion even though they had skins for it, and then refunded it for free when they got the chance. Everyone gets 3 refunds. That's what they're for. Do I like it? No, I'd like to trade back some skins myself. But its fair enough. Plus, I think we should get more refunds, atleast 1 per season. But theres always a few people that ruin it for everyone else.

Because you knowingly buy things on League that can be changed in the future to how Riot sees fit, and Riot is not the bad guys because you failed to think ahead.

League used to do this constantly, when reworks shipped out. I think problem ( for Riot ) was that millions of players wanted refunds, and Rioters were too lazy to fulfill them all dutifully. So no more refunds!

Hey all,

Over the past two years we've been ramping up our ability to steadily modernize champions' art, background and gameplay, to the point where champion updates have become an integral part of the overall evolution of League of Legends. When we first began making these updates we were mindful of the fact that we were altering content to which players might be very attached, and with that in mind we agreed to the handful of refund requests from the passionate players who owned updated champions and who sent a ticket to Player Support.

Back then we could do these individual gestures of goodwill because the number of refund requests was pretty low. Requests came largely from players who mained the champ. Once the policy was made public, there was a 10,000%+ spike in requests. We looked at the data and found that a very large majority of requests were from players who werent actively invested in the champion pre-update, but were trying to get back RP or IP without using a refund token.

To give you an idea of the impact, every recent champion update has resulted in a storm of support tickets larger than what we typically see from a full day of major server instability. Combine this with the fact that we're on pace to double our annual number of champion updates (6 in 2013, already 7 in first half of 2014) and it begins to significantly impact Player Support's ability to handle critical issues like account recoveries and tech support.

As a result of these factors, we've decided that beginning with the Karthus champion update, we will stop processing refund requests for updated champions. It would be awesome to have a process that specifically targets those players significantly impacted by an update and doesn't interfere with Player Support's ability to quickly solve vital support issues, but we are far off from a good solution to this.

Idk I think the new fiora is good Ive been playing her and have been having reasonable success with her considering most games im camped :/ by far her best skin right now IMO is Nightraven Fiora :O but thats a personal preference. I own all her skins and played her before her rework as well. I am not happy about the changed ult BUT she has so many more tools now. Her Q can now be used as an escape if needed plus she can stun people with w if you time it right against their cc. Her E gives her an autoattack reset a slow and a guaranteed crit. Her Ult i find is mostly used for the ms for being able to keep up with your target (yes even fizz with as slippery as he is).

Overall I am enjoying the new Fiora i just had to change my playstyle of her a bit.

that you agreed to the ToS means they could technically ban you right now for no reason and not give you a refund for anything. And it'd be perfectly within their rights.
