Who is an OP mid laner?

I'm a player who recently hit lvl 30. I haven't played ranked yet because the season is coming to an end. Also I only have 1 champion above lvl 3 mastery. Zed. I don't want to play ranked with only one champ at lvl 5 because the champ that I have at lvl 5 is frequently banned. So I was looking for some mid Laners, because that's what I main, to get better at and have as an alternative to Zed. Also a couple ADC's would be helpful to since that is my secondary. Thanks in advance to anyone who comments.

Ahri Morgana Syndra Leblanc Cassiopeia Lux

These are the easier to play and more OP midlaners. Highly recommend Syndra. She's just a beast right now.

Other good midlaners depending on who you're against: AurelionSol Akali Ezreal Heimerdinger Ziggs Zilean Zyra Annie Brand Vladimir Anivia

Each of these champs have a "combo" to figure out and a laning style to learn. Once you figure them out, they're ALL very strong.

Mid:

  • Syndra
  • Annie
  • Ahri Adc:
  • Vayne
  • Caitlyn
  • Miss Fortune

They are all amazingly strong, they don't punish your mistakes too much and are mostly easy.

Galio easily beats every AP middle laner except Kayle

Pros:

  1. Most people don't know anything about Galio and underestimate him.

  2. At level 18 his full combo does 1260 + 218% AP magic damage. For a comparison, Lux does 990 + 205% AP magic damage

  3. His shield gives 90 MR, 90 armor, and 45 AP and heals Galio for about 900-1200 at max level using a normal build making it so Galio can literally tank a tower forever.

  4. If he hits 3 or more enemies with his ult it is pretty much GG as seen in this video.

https://youtu.be/gSQhOlGo-HM?t=2726

  1. If you aren't brain dead, you will never die once you have 4+ items simply because how tanky you are which can also be seen in the above video.

Cons:

  1. He is extremely mana starved until he gets item 3010

  2. He is melee in middle lane making it difficult to farm early game if you aren't experienced with him. It is no longer an issue for me because I have used him so much and know how to deal with the poke.

  3. Learning when not to use his Ult takes a long time because probably around 75% of the champions in the game can stop his Ult from channeling. You have to bait out the CC abilities or be sure to hit everyone who can stop it.

Smart call avoiding Ranked right off. From personal experience (and those who ignored the advice posting here) you'll be ready for Ranked about a year from now. Level 30 sadly means nothing as far as Ranked preparedness goes.

I personally like Xerath Mid. He takes a lot of practice positioning to do well with, but that's something you'll want to learn if you're going Mid anyway.

As for an ADC, I say learn Varus because you can play him mid as well if your team comp allows for it.
