I'm sorry, I don't usually complain, but Riot, fix your fucking normal matchmaking.
This is utterly ridiculous and sucks what very little fun I was able to have in this garbage game.
Now, I love (as much as I dislike using that word on this game) my ranked games just as much as the next guy. But as many of you will know, the end of the season inspires an entirely new level of toxicity in the ranked players. I get flamed every game for not following up on a burst assassin's roams as a squishy, immobile mage.. but that is besides the point.
At this time in the season, I like to stick to normals. To chill out and to practice new champions mostly. I find it much more fun than ranked because I don't have to only play the one champion (in ranked I'm a total one-trick) and I don't have to abide by such an unforgiving meta.
However, the fun was utterly drained out of norms when I finished my ranked provisional games.
I am a Silver 5 player. In other words, not very good. I know I'm not good, and I address that with every game I play; inspiring to improve my map awareness, my mechanics, my rotations, my micro and my macro play, as well as my mechanics on the champion I love the most.
So how in the world is it fair that I, a Silver player who simply wants to take a break from the stress of ranked, gets matched with Gold, Platinum and even DIAMOND players?!?!?
In what world is matchmaking like that enjoyable? How on earth am I meant to get ANY fun out of this game when I am being pubstomped by players clearly superior to me in both macro and micro play EVERY. FUCKING. GAME?!?!?
Now, I'm normally a calm enough person, and I don't usually lose my temper over such a trivial thing as an online game. But this is truly frustrating beyond belief.
Here is an example of the last normal game I played (and most likely the last normal game I will ever play until this bullshit is fixed):
As you can see, my team consisted of three silvers and two plats.
The enemy team consisted of three plats and two golds. (The naut was also gold 4 in soloq)
Of course we don't stand a chance. HOW is this being allowed to happen? I don't win in normals any more than I win in ranked, this naturally being because I step away from my comfort pick. And my ranked MMR is matching me with around Bronze 1 - Silver 2 players.
I'm in shock that this is allowed to happen. I literally have to go out of my way to find a very low elo premade just to be matched with allies and opponents of my own skill level - which I can't secure all the time.
I have spent a lot of money and time on this game, and I really do love it - but I have simply had enough of this shitty matchmaking that is ruining my, and quite possibly many other's games and time. It is a thorough WASTE OF TIME to play out a game you know you won't enjoy. So why bother at all?
I'm sorry if I come off as whiney and irritating, this problem has simply been bothering me for far too long and I needed to vent it somehow.
