Better In-Client/In-Game Communication? @Riot
First of all, congrats on emotes. Sort of a step in the right direction. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
Now, I seriously would like to know the reasoning why we do not have In-Client/In-Game Voice Comms? If you're simply too lazy or don't want to bare the cost of the servers to run this, why is there no partnership with companies like Discord to bring this feature directly into the game and not have to run external software and share external links. If it were embedded into the client/game people would use it. Why is this important? When is the last time you've seen an LCS game where no players were using voice comms??? It's an integral part of this game, a game of seconds/milliseconds and being able to talk to someone with your voice while keeping your fingers free to ACTUALLY control your character is not a convenience, it's a necessity.
There is 0 downside to having In-Client/In-Game voice comms. Mute still exists.
Sorry, that was a bit harsh of an ask, but I mean, really, it's mid 2017 and I've seen RPGs with voice comms built in ("Hey, I'm grinding my character doing the same repetitive task for 40mins, what about you??").
Next up, for now, at the very least. Why are we not able to chat during the loading screen? Precious time is lost strategizing your level 1. Sure, you get 15 seconds or whatever it is at the start of the game when you're purchasing items, but come on, that's not enough time.
Could you not just make the loading screen last 60 seconds minimum? Everyone can wait 1 minute (at least, with the exception of those occurrences when a potato toaster is being used to play league). Allowing us to chat and say things like "Hey, look, we have a better level 1, lets invade!" or "They have a Blitzcrank, it's likely he's going to invade us, lets get some wards down and bunch up and counter their invade!" is beneficial as fuck and promotes teamplay.
Please consider the following in the next patch. If you're too lazy to code them, I can almost guarantee you can find someone on the boards here that'll do it for free.
Thanks for improving.
