I just find it weird how when players make a post about how "op" a champion is and why it needs a Nerf riot never comments on it. or if someone says how they feel riot doesn't care about the community they wont comment either. they only seem to comment on the stuff that praises the balance team. don't get me wrong riot has an amazing lore, art, music, etc. teams. but their balance team isn't in a good spot right now. they are improving like finally deciding to Nerf Riven and Vayne. but back to my point. i feel riot should respond more to these comments cause it creates a connection between developers and players that their voice is heard and not ignored. and there are a lot of players who genuinely think riot doesn't care at all and only care for money. i use to be that player sometime i still think that. I really care about league as a game and riot as a company and i want to see them do well.

To be fair a lot of those posts are like this: REMOVE Yasuo DOUBLE CRIT, PASSIVE SHIELD, AND GIVE HIS E A 20 SECOND COOLDOWN NO COMPENSATION NEEDED BC HES OP!11!

that said i would love to see them actually reply to the posts and complaints (many of them) about matchmaking this season. But that won't happen until the "2nd split" starts b/c they aren't gonna reset ranks/mmr when so many have climbed to their target rank. All i can say on that is thank god that we have 2 splits this year b/c if we didn't we'd have to deal with the fallout from the hairbrained positional matchmaking and revert all year LOL

I have the distinct feeling that Riot doesn't engage with the audience at all at this point. They know what the winrates are they have their LCS people telling them what they do and don't think is broken at the higher end of the skill ceiling. They also know what we do and don't respond to as far as purchases and advertising just from the user engagement data. The surveys they do in-client are probably the only thing they're genuinely still listening to. And that's probably by design because forums and social media in general never stop complaining about things and cannot ever genuinely be appeased without annoying somebody else. If there's an idea that can improve the game and it's ubiquitous, they probably hear about it from people higher up in the LCS and Riot community than us. That's just how corporations work nowadays, seems like. It's unfortunate, but the customers are kind of the last people that can influence the product, unless it's something so many people complain about that they can't ignore it. Oh well shrugs Such is life.

Most of the negative posts just tend to be shit-flinging, though. There are a few worth their attention, but it's incredibly hard to find them because most negative posts shut down discussion instead of encourage it, and saying anything against them just gets you downvoted into oblivion.

yeah they could... except that every single time they have done it people just take everything they say out of context or just bash on them because its not what they wanted to hear. At some point people are just going to tune you out completely if all they ever get is "you suck!" or "fire everyone!" just because of petty things or because they aren't doing things EXACTLY how the "community" wants it
