Why is this a thing? It makes sense for draft but

And what fundamentally changes between the two draft modes that makes autofill suddenly not needed?
There's still going to be 4 people queuing for support per rank when there isn't a recent release/rework of a support, so you still need autofill to have reasonable queue times. That doesn't change between ranked and non-ranked matches.
