My two cents on Mordekaiser

As a Modekaiser main I feel obligated to throw in my thoughts just so I can know I tried to have some influence on his future iteration. I am not suggesting that all of the go into effect, I am just noting his weaknesses, his strengths, and just a few mechanics that I think could be implemented. I won't dive into numbers.

It's apparent his wave clear is one of the best. Strong pushing power puts pressure on any lane. His shield, particularly in the early game mitigates a lot of poke, helping him win trades. He can clear raptors and wolves decently well. Has great synergy with champs he can throw his W on and will stick to the target (like Udyr). Late game, grabbing the adc in a teamfight can sway things in your favor or bursting down the jungler can open up grabbing a dragon or baron.

His weaknesses include being extremely susceptible to early ganks. This is due to his heavy dependence on wards, his pushing nature, his lack of cc, and lack of mobility. If he gets behind early, it is extremely difficult to come back. Ulting many frontliners will often not be successful in getting a ghost due to tankiness, a lack of followup from team members, and if it is successful, it is rarely useful other than maybe tanking a tower. He has no initiation. He has no way of getting to the back line to get to the prime targets. Even when fed, out is difficult to carry (in my opinion). His shield caps off too low and is too difficult to charge before teamfights due to deterioration. Terrible at taking camps like gromp or dragon (even at higher levels) by himself. Pretty expensive build. If the desire is to make him a tank, he needs more tankiness, cc, mobility,and/or initiation, preferably while keeping some damage.

Other ideas that have floated into my head include getting more from his ghost. His old lore showed him getting information from a man's ghost he had taken. This could come in the form of giving vision to Mordekaiser and/or his team of the enemy team (think intel). This could also come in the form of extra damage from Mordekaiser and/or his ghost against enemy team members (think revealing secrets/weaknesses). Also, you would think a giant head above an enemy team member would be enough, but greater indication to allied members of the ult being used would be helpful. Other things I've seen that i liked were the slow on his E, and the ability to throw your W on an enemy too deal damage around them. The W on them would not deal damage but apply a mild slow. This could *also *occur when the shield does damage, either on an enemy or ally, allowing Morde to catch up (think weighing them down with metal). This could provide a good initiate by dropping a W on an enemy and causing them to spread out due to the threat of the damage and aoe slow.

I just wanted to add my thoughts and hope they can be considered. I figure it does me no good to stay quiet. Thanks for listening, Riot!

Mordekaiser, to me is like a massive battle mage (Sauron?), The only thing that I think is wrong with him is the massive cast size of his ult compared to his other abilities (Morde gets out a sniper rifle and shoots a soul steal on them with it?). Changes that I think he should get are; more reliant on shield in battles, To be able to do more with his ghost (I was thinking like you could burn it for some sort of temporary buff or keep for its damage) and to do more than spam his e in most fights.

For the most part I agree with your ideas (some parts I don't like) but it looks like who ever is in charge of balancing wants him to become a tank with no cc...
