Theres gotta be some kind of equation...20% last season 20% pre-season end, 60% placements? HOw does it work!? I ended season gold 3, pre-season gold 2, and 5-5 in placements with plats and golds. How am I silver 2?!
You were one of the lucky ones. Someone in Platinum finished his Provisionals and got placed in bronze 1

basically whatever your mmr is you will be a teir below that your mmr was gold 2 you dropped to silver 2 if your plat 3 you will most likly drop to gold 3. now if the guy was really plat and dropped to bronze im guessing his mmr was and gold 5 level and he was about to drop out of plat 5 which is why he fell that far.
