Why don't we get anything if your team afks in ranked?
It's like oh bad luck that's another lost game for you. What you had no chance because you were 4v5? Well LP loss is still the same.

I think a reduction in how much you lose could be nice. It is no fun to play 4 vs 5 (Unless you win).
Where is the Counter-Play To Afk-ers ?
Winning 4v5 happens sometimes because the opposing team gets sloppy because it's a 4v5 and they don't take it seriously.
Still, thats the exception rather than the rule and it sucks. The problem is reduced penalties are open to abuse, as people might intentionally afk (or get a teammate to leave) if the matchup seems like favours the opponents, long before the outcome of the match is actually determined.
In theory in the long run you'll win as many games due to being the 5 in a 4v5 as the ones you lose because of being the 4 though, so as much as it sucks, people are probably stuck clinging to the hope that in the long run statistics do hold up.
