Stasis and other item actives.

I just want to legit ask how to effectively use stasis and other item actives in combat because I always forget they are there (and I know actually using the gunblade active will help my akali game) but with all the keys I feel like the numbers just are not in a convenient place to quickly use items during combat and going down and clicking takes your movement for a few seconds.

I swear I'm not just here to complain I just want to know how people quickly use items in combat cause it is super annoying when a split second stasis ignores an ult and gets you killed but I just can't pull it off myself with all the other things to keep track of, positioning, abilities, map awarnes, feels like item actives fall by the wayside
