played my first game of rift in s8 killed a yi at lv 3 and then he proceeded to snowball how do you fuck up and make yi this god tier champ and not hot fix this shit again same devs that cant even fix 3v3

Why balance is completey out of control right now is because of the way Riot is doing patches currently. It's going a big patch, followed by a little patch, and they're making changes too quickly to actually respond to them. Some lady in the upper echelons of Riot decided to do this. I genuinely think that the balance team is doing the best they can with what this lady is asking of them, and it's only an experiment for this season. I thought it'd be a cool idea on paper, but in practice it's just not going well.

Regarding Yi, all I can say is solo queue. If it's your first game of the season, you're probably being matched with people around silver level, which means that they'll have no idea how to build a team comp to ruin yi or how to beat him when they do.

sadly this is true i rekt the yi (nunu double kill) 5 and 0 where winning and bot started raging yi picked up a kill from there and just snow balled so hard i couldnt even touch him once he just picked up a little and whats up with these kill lanes coming back?

game after played against a team with 3 smites (somehow they couldnt cj still ended up being 4 and 0 like 7 mins in) is there some new shit going on or was that just random?

The multiple smites thing became a thing right away when the scuttle crab changes were blown out of proportion, but it died down quickly as people realized it just wasn't worth it. It only really even became a thing in higher rating than I am, so I thankfully never saw this strategy in play.
