Blitzcrank w

I think Riot has done an amazing job for the most part with diversifying the game more this season. All the new jungle items are great but you see there's a champion named Blitzcrank. This champion was a really fun champ. He wasn't played much in pro play. He wasn't really even considered over powered or anything, but wow he was really fun to play. Then Riot changed his w and didn't quite get it right. This Blitzcrank w nerf has really made the champion anti fun for me and I don't really play him after the changed but I think he will be fun again if Riot reverts the nerf or changes the ability entirely.

>inb4 people call me a noob or buttmad: I am a diamond 1 season 3 and current diamond support main and don't even main blitz I just like the support role and really want Bliz fixed sooner than later.

Honestly, I feel like Blitz's W is more of a quick repositioning tool (since his Q is incredibly game-changing and saps a lot of his power budget) instead of a gap closer or an escape. People don't like being grabbed, knocked up, and silenced in one combo (usually with allies helping out, since a good Blitz isn't going to take every possible grab), so that part of his kit seems like it's purposely kept weak.

Right now, Blitz seems to be in a good place. He's got high win and pick rates, so he's quite popular and successful at the moment. If we were to make his W more fun, how would we go about it? Would we change up the ability to feel less anti-fun without making it more powerful, or would we do a power shift and weaken one ability to buff this ability (like nerfing Q's range and making W more of a gap closer/escape tool?). What do you think as a support main, and what do you think would be fun/fair for enemies and allies of Blitz as well?

The only reason Blitzy even became a problem is that Riot manipulated the game to ensure only an adc and a support could ever go bot without being nerfed into oblivion. Blitz was designed to take shits on compositions of squishy champions, so when you put 2 bad early game squishies in a lane against him, he's bound to tear them apart. Riot making blitz out to be a support champion is what really damned him, as he used to be a good solo lane bruiser and had great late game damage when itemizing around mana. Riot performed the first ever revert of an ability and reintroduced a stupid part of blitz's kit that was removed with good reason prior to S1.
