Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm really need to be buffed

I think Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm should be buffed, since these two runes are suitable for AD Carries and Mages at late game phase but they aren't used very often. In most games I often see AD Carry uses Biscuit Delivery and Magical Footwear (in secondary path) for staying in lane longer at lane phase and Mage uses Transcendence for poking and Scorch for harassing at lane phase. I think the reason of this is in the current meta, if you have advantage to your opponent at lane phase, you are more likely to win the game than when you don't have, so you have to prioritize your power at early game over power at late game when you decide which champion to play and runes to use in the game. The above runes are really good for you at lane phase, while Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm don't help you much, thus, they are much better than Gathering Storm and Absolute Focus.

Edit: I know many of you think that Absolute Focus doesn't need buffing, but it is useful only when you can maintain your HP above 70%. If you opponent has stronger harassment than you, and you cannot maintain your HP above 70% or only keep farming under the turret and wait for your jungle player, then this rune won't be useful for you at all.

This is the result of Riot strong arming the player base into an early game meta.

We don't need things buffed. We need things nerfed.

There are a lot of sub keystones that need buffed.

Shield bash is nothing compared to Demolish.

Said this in your other thread about the same thing :

absolute focus doesn't need a buff imo. it is fine. it is strong on characters that can maintain high hp, especially for junglers.

Gathering storm could easily be better if they made it every 5 mins instead of 10. They can keep the values the same, but it just sucks that for a whole 10 mins each time it doesn't gain power. It's meant to be the scaling AD rune (scaling AD reds/quints were the shit imo) but they don't function the same.

I would love if they did that.

They do not need buffs, absolute focus is already very strong on a few like Caitlyn who can keep it up at all times fairly easily while gathering storm is fine for a scaling option.

Although i would like to see more AD on it i think, reason being that the AD rabadon, infinity edge that is, is not a viable choice for many AD users so they dont have anything that boosts it the way rabadon does.

Unfair .c

So anyone who takes it auto win mid- late game? Rework them into something more interesting and useful for lane.

I take Absolute Focus on ekko so i can 1 q the ranged minions earlier and gathering storm because i don't have much use for the other ones and having that gathering at 30 min feels pretty good

Buff them for adc's, keep them nerfed for mages. Mages don't need even MORE shit to dominate everyone with

The problem is that they are balanced around the amount of AP they give so in turn it makes it weak for AD champs.

Adaptative should be much more closer to 1ad = 1 ap, that would fix a lot of balance issues mages have right now and mage items being so broken.
