Fun game.. Why do gold borders tend to ruin the experience even in wins?

Just got out of this game where the Lucian and Alistar started flaming while calling it a chat. There reason for doing this was a single shot call. I split pushed where they wanted a 5 v 5 at mid tower.My method would of forced at least 2 of their members to pull off and give us 2 inhibs. Their argument was if I went mid we'd of ended.

The difference in the 2 calls is negligible. The lissandra had her ult up and would of easily used it on me during the teamfight. Viktor also had all his cooldowns including zhonya open and Tahm could just devourer kalista to stop the mark from proccing. Literally outside of attempting cleanup I'd provide literally nothing to the team fight.

Why did the both of them start flaming without providing any reasoning behind their point of view?

What the are the upsides and downsides of each call that I might of missed?

I mean getting flamed in a curb stomp win where I legitimately had similar stats and less deaths than Mr. Silver II formely Gold IV Lucian is kinda illogical. I'd like to at least have some pros and cons to see if his argument was truly valid.

Points that don't resort to calling rank and ranked history into play would be preferable .. (That 45% total win rate over the last 20 games, and 35% win rate in silver really gives lucian tons of validity)
