Need help with swain
How do I farm without being baited into a gank? What do I do when my team feeds and the enemy laner comes to my lane? How do I properly roam?

These are some very specific questions.
How to farm without getting ganked: Try not to push early on Swain. If the enemy laner somehow baits you into pushing, try to bounce the wave ASAP. The reality of playing Swain is that if you get behind, you're going to be real weak. Farm with autos and be okay with losing a few to tower, rather than pushing up.
When team feeds: Hug tower. Make them work for your life and get a kill in return if you can. I really like the new stopwatch rune, because it can help in situations like this. Make 'em dive you and at least get the shutdown so your team can claw back in.
Roaming: Roaming, in general, is all about timing. You can't just walk down bot in full view of your enemy laner and expect that to go well, of course. I have most success roaming on Swain when I bully my opponent out of lane and then I can roam while they back. That's often a double kill or serious tower damage to bot. I also don't try to make any aggressive moves outside my lane until level 6. You are a weak little fledging until you hit 6.
