Class Tutorial

Have it to where new players can play a tutorial learning about a certain class. For example, say a new player wants to learn about Juggernauts. He/She can choose out of a list of recommended Juggernauts (who are free to play in this tutorial) and have it explain what juggernauts are supposed to do, what lane they belong in, and their strengths/weaknesses. Of course you're not required to play the tutorial, It's just something to help new players learn more about the game and their role in a team.

I am all for more in-depth Tutorials about how to play! League really needs this for new players to help the new player experience.

Something that explained team comps and having mixed damage sources would be useful too.

champions are very different from each other and what they are trying to do is vastly different even if they are in the same class. How and Ezreal plays is nowhere near close to how a Jinx would play nor how an Ashe would play. How a Fiora plays is nowhere near close to how a Yi plays or how a Trynd plays and so on and so on. Yes there are classes and subclasses but what they have in common is in a very basic level. How they accomplish that is very different from each other

they should make champion spotlights for all champions

highlight an example build with example skill order and example item path and rune/mastery setup and some examples of combos/skill usage

of course, specify that it is "not the only way you can play, but rather that this is one method that the player can try to introduce themselves to the champion".

then put each champ spotlight into the client under a page so new players checking out the champion through the client can get a quick "how 2 play".

the early champion spotlights for me, when I was new, was a great learning resource. The new ones, not so much, because they no longer show skill order or rune/mastery.

They should really revamp the tutorial system. The original is fine for explaining the base game (kill minions, kill towers, kill inhib, kill Nexus).

But there needs to be a thing explaining why last hitting minions is important (15 CS = 1 kill), explaining how to manage minion waves, explaining CSing under tower, explaining pressure and what to do with it (i.e. if 4 enemies gank top, do dragon or take tower bot lane), explaining why kills are important (generates pressure, 5v4 for duration of death timer, not just to pad KDA).

For classes, even if it was just basics like, "An ADC/Marksman is a class that generally builds Attack Speed, Crit, and AD. They are a consistent damage source because auto attacks have short cooldown compared to abilities." "Assassins are a class built on killing a priority target through ability combos. Mastering these combos is the way to maximize their damage."

I mean, LB and Fizz are assassin, so you can't flat out say build AD/Lethality, but you can give an idea of what each classes role is.

Then they see a quin top and wonder what hell they're in to have an adc in their lane. [sg-miss-fortune]

Markesman: you own the game. no one else matters. right click and kill everything in sight. all other roles (aka the other adc's fodder) are merely your mindless meat shields. welcome to league of legends

I think it would be neat. Id be fine with just a overall class tutorial. And add icons you obtain for completing it similar to the old teambuilder icons.

I love how all these people are saying it's a good idea but not upvoting.

ADC would be a bit complicated, talking about how to use the attack move button to basic attack without risking misclicking.

On a game where every playable characters in a same class almost feel completely different to each other in most cases like League, this would be a waste of work from Riot
