Why should I lose LP when....
How does it make sense to punish people when their teammates rage quit? Why do I lose LP when someone decides to AFK?

Another one of those posts that will cause drama.. [zombie-brand-clap]
The reason would be because you also gain LP when opponents rage quit/AFK, so in the long run it cancels out.
The alternatives either result in LP inflation or being able to cheat the enemy team out LP which would be super abusable.
