I was Gold 1 last season. Went on a hard losing streak + decay from not playing a while. I ended the season just under Silver 2. Over the last day or two, I went 9-1 in my placement matches in ranked. I get placed into BRONZE 1. I have NEVER been Bronze the entire time League has been around. I know I'm bad and I'm sure trolls are going to come out here, but Jesus Christ RIOT... WHAT THE ACTUAL FUC*?!!!!
You dont get decay until you are plat.... Gold doesnt have Rank Decay.... so you just lost alot.
It seems some people don't quite understand what 'reset' means. You fucked your MMR hard last season and now it was reset to be even lower.
With good placements you got bronze 1 and you could probably get silver V easily in 5-10 games. The ladder reset would be pointless if everyone got placed where they were or very near it. Most people who were gold are now in Silver, once you climb there you'll be playing with basically the same people you were playing with before.
Gold 2 > Silver 3 after going 6/4 in promos...
after going 2 win 8 loss in last season placements, where i carried 1 went even 5 and fed 4 times, i got silver 5. this season i got 6 wins 4 losses, carried 4 games did well 5 games and fed once. IM IN BRONZE 4 NOW. HOW. WHY.
Bronze last season and again this season too, however I was higher bronze and ended up going 9-1 in placements and was placed bronze 5 now for the start of this season. Was hoping to be placed lower silver...guess not. WTF riot for me. Ended last season higher than I placed this season 
is there an issue? if you really are at the level of gold 1 then I can say from experience that getting out of bronze and blasting through silver should pose NO issue at all.
1.) You're lying considering you cannot decay out of gold tier.
2.) If you're bronze and actually have the skills of a gold then it should be super easy for you to rise
3.) Rank placements now are so much easier than season 1 & 2 when it was just your MMR that counted those were the tough days.
4.) Don't let the door hit you on your way out!
