I was Gold 1 last season. Went on a hard losing streak + decay from not playing a while. I ended the season just under Silver 2. Over the last day or two, I went 9-1 in my placement matches in ranked. I get placed into BRONZE 1. I have NEVER been Bronze the entire time League has been around. I know I'm bad and I'm sure trolls are going to come out here, but Jesus Christ RIOT... *WHAT THE ACTUAL FUC?!!!!**

You are 100% wrong. I didn't play for about 3 months and I was Silver 1 when I came back. It was not from losing a lot. I didn't play at all. I was Gold 1 when I left and Silver 1 when I got back. Then I fluctuated back and forth between Silver 1 and 2, finally dropping to 3.

Also fun fact, i didnt play ranked for 2 months, i stayed at Gold 4, 2 months later, still gold 4.

Frikgeek2 votesIt seems some people don't quite understand what 'reset' means. You fucked your MMR hard last season and now it was reset to be even lower.
With good placements you got bronze 1 and you could probably get silver V easily in 5-10 games. The ladder reset would be pointless if everyone got placed where they were or very near it. Most people who were gold are now in Silver, once you climb there you'll be playing with basically the same people you were playing with before.

If he was gold 1 it would take 1~2 days of playing to go from even Bronze 5 to Gold 5. Although, he wasn't Gold 1, he lost ton of games and dropped to Silver 3. You have to have terrible MMR to drop out of a 5th division to begin with.

Haha yeah. I didn't play ranked in season five, but I came back to the game in pre-season. Had a bunch of afkers during my placements and went 3-7. I was placed into silver V, played a bit more ranked, got up to silver IV. Then the reset happens. I go 7-3 this time and get placed into Bronze IV. I'm kind of thinking that maybe I shouldn't have played during the pre-season and then I might have gotten a higher placement. =D

2.) If you're bronze and actually have the skills of a gold then it should be super easy for you to rise
3.) Rank placements now are so much easier than season 1 & 2 when it was just your MMR that counted those were the tough days.
