I've been playing ranked with my friends and Illaoi has been on the ladder a lot lately and let me tell you..... she is ridiculously strong. How are you supposed to lane against a champion that heals from her tentacles and can literally 1v5 a team without breaking a sweat. Rito says that they nerfed her e but it is still stupid strong. It makes me mad that i can't win games just because of 1 champ. Im a support main and a majority of the time i feed my Ad Carry. Even though my Adc is doing well this one single champ just wins the whole game for their team. I believe it's time for a huge nerf on her Riot like seriously. I would like to suggest a possible healing nerf and a slight e nerf. That or make the tentacles come down slower so people actually have a brief second to dodge

She doesn't heal from her tentacles if you don't get hit by them.

They can learn to dodge as well. If they get hit, that's their problem. Not Illaoi's.

It's a product of frustration. You're not the first to complain about her and her counterplay isn't hard to understand.

I'll admit she is incredibly punishing against squishy melee champions, which are usually fights she favors.

Well there is a reason why this thing exists it's to show info and let the community see what is going on in someone elses point of view. This isnt a place for people to be toxic towards other people and say stuff like "INSTEAD OF CRYING FOR THE LOVE OF TEEMO".

The 'love of teemo' thing was just rewording your topic title in a more accurate way for a bit of fun.

You could've spent 30 seconds googling how to play against Illaoi instead of making this thread.

I know how to play against her but im saying that they should redo her damage just a tad because it's crazy and i really dont need this negative feed back from you guys. If u have nothing nice to say then don't say it i believe that's the saying.

So Illaoi can literally never be too strong because she has a skillshot that can be dodged? Not saying she is (tho she is pretty annoying), but..

shes too strong against certain matchups and far too weak against others imo.

shes absolutely destroying mostly melee champions with low and mdiocre mobility. and she gets destroyed by ranged champions far too easily. they should even her out a bit more.

plus, her lategame is still kinda trash.

she has a weird power curve where shes extremely strong in lane against some champions and pretty much useless mid to lategame, when the game becomes more about dynamic movement around the map, and she has trouble setting up tentacles to fight, because you usually cant afford to stay in one spot for too long.

That's the thing though, people are acting like it's the former in all cases, regardless of matchup. It's like they're not even trying to win and just braindead pick whatever regardless of how much of a chance they stand.

yea, its not. like her winrate against heimerdinger is 35%. then its graves, tryndamere and swain.

the problem is, they should have never made her tentacles targetable from outside of bushes. the official reason for that change was, that since her strength heavily depends and varies with how many tentacles she has around, they wanted to give her opponents more information.

but they could have done so by making the tentacles visible in some form, without making them targetable at the same time.

now its pretty much braindead easy for any ranged champ to deny her her tentacles and take them out as soon as they spawn.

melee champions still have to get dangerously close to destroy them.
