I seem too be struggling with 
quite a bit. I usually win lane quite easily but the moment it hits mid to late game I get bursted down before I can even get my passive off, my healing seems kind of mediocre, I find it difficult to engage without getting kited by your everyday ADC, and overall the champ just doesn't feel right to me.
Does anyone have any tips for me or can relate with these issues?

Tychusfindlay9182 votesMost darius players can relate to your issues. Damage is really high and darius is the squishiest of the juggernauts so he just dies before he even reaches five stacks most of the time.
To help with these issues you can take ghost, and because you are taking ghost, take raptors cloak for sustain and faster walk back to lane. Also ulting someone who is low can be better actually hitting someone five times to get passive off. . . darius has an atrocious A.S, he takes to long to get five stacks the normal way.
Hopefully buffs make him feel more tanky
It's not that darius is the squishiest, but its that his sustain is one of the hardest to get off in teamfight scenarios against coordinated teams.
compare him to someone like garen who presses W to become a top tier tank for a few seconds basically, or Nasus who also becomes a premier tank by just pressing R. Darius can tank just as much if not even more than them, but the amount of positioning and enemy stupidity it takes to do that is almost impossible.
Next patch darius will probably be decent.
Getting a 3 man q is a pipe dream, and then of course with how high damage is it usually doesnt even matter if you do get a clutch decimate late game.

Whatever pal. You're wrong. Darius has the potential to heal 36 (without visage) % missing health every 3 seconds towards late game, he can absolutely outtank garen in a normal scenario, AND HE FREQUENTLY DID OUTTANK GAREN in seasons 5 and 6.
Garen has NO in-combat sustain options, and he basically doesn't have a passive in mid-late game teamfights.

I'm so glad riot is taking this route to buff him instead of yet another damage buff which they did time and time before which never helped darius that much.

Ragnaveil2 votesBut no Riven, Vayne, or Jax nerfs. Also Ken's just getting hit with a slap on the wrist. These buffs would matter a lot if champs like Voli and Darius weren't getting bulldozed by Riven and Jax with their "counterplay". Hopefully the work to Vayne and Riven in 9.10 fixes them, Jax just needs less damage on R and W, and E's function could use a change. Don't want to necessarily kill him, but at the same time as he is he's a pain in the ass to use anything into him.

but like isnt his 36% healing only applicable when the enemy team positions poorly for a darius triple pull or triple q for that healing to go off?
DeathBurst1 votesYou don't get five stacks with 5 aa with your normal AS...
The "typical" way to do it is: Q, aa, W reset, aa while they're slowed, last stack with whatever (either a second Q, or a last aa after an E grab). Only the second aa use the normal AS delay between two aa, all the rest is reset or buffered.
Also, Legend:Alacrity and the AS stat shard give him decent AS in late game, especially if you go Triforce instead of Cleaver.
I'm a big fan of Raptor's Cloak, and almost always build it on Garen, but not on Darius. Darius can't really use ZZ'rot or Ohmwrecker well, so it's a dead item in late game.

Honestly speaking, there's no reason to play Darius in this meta when you've got divers such as Renekton and ranged champions such as Urgot who do everything Darius does but better.

Only recently I have been told Darius is still S+ Tier and one of the best toplaners right now. :3 Only things I can think off are BC + Steraks, Trinity is worthless for me, since I just get melted and I don't need Damage when I can't even get it off. Take Phase Rush/Aftershock since Conq isn't worth the trade, also Triumph and Last Stand/Tenacity Runes if needed. Ghost is pretty good too against very mobile champions, especially in low Elo where no one uses a TP disadvantage.

I prefer Trinity into full Tank (Deadman, Spirit, Randuin/Glory, Sterak/Thornmail, or Adaptive Helm if they have a lot of AP).

Think of Darius as Nasus. He does extremely large amounts of damage, can heal a boatload, but can be a joke when it comes to teamfights as he just gets peeled to all hell.
A lot of Darius' strength comes from the fact that he has a huge advantage during laning phase. 1 kill and 30CS usually means that the opponent achieved their win condition and you lost lane. Try to make the enemy laner a non-factor as you can quickly become one yourself during open teamfights.
Darius is immobile, so see if you can't get deepwards into their jungle somehow. Darius can pull off some quick 1v2's, but is too immobile to get out of a fight you don't want to take.
Other than that, focus on coordinating ambushes and picks with your team.
Remember one of Darius' most iconic moments: Swain's duel against Darkwill
As important CC and damage leaves the table Darius goes from "lul, troll Darius walked up and died, ggez" to "oh god, heals and 1k true damage ult? Certaintly T'd again"
Handy Sandy 1 votesdarius doesn't teamfight, and when he does he usually flanks and cleans up rather than engage for his team. when he's not doing that, he's usually top or bot lane splitpushing and looking for a 1v1 which he is good at.
