[GAMEPLAY] Fiora and How Vitals Function

So, I am loving the new Fiora, I have her mastered at this point but there are some things I have noticed about her that make her new mechanics a rather daunting task, simply because of clarity issues. My main focus here is how Fiora hits her vitals. I scanned the forums trying to find someone with the same issue as me, and couldn't find anything so, maybe it's just me, but regardless I wanted to start a discussion. Her vitals seem to work fine, from a lot of vantage points, and her Q prioritizes very well in tight situations which is amazing (despite a brief period of time directly after being reworked it felt like q either wasn't prioritizing correctly or it just wasn't actually hitting the vital, but the patch afterwards seems to have cleared it up a bit), the vitals feel like a nice micro game to take care of while playing but, this is where my issue comes into focus: there seems to be a range at which you need to be to actually proc a vital. So many games, I will be pressed up right alongside someone, and, seemingly, I am on the correct side, but AA'ing doesn't seem to proc the vital regardless of me actually hitting or not. Most of the times my best bet is to q a little bit away to proc it even though all I am doing is expanding my range on the exact same side.

Now I really don't know if this is intended, and if it is, I would love to know, otherwise I will stop attempting to complete Fiora's mini game in this fashion but it is really disheartening when you are whacking someone consistently while trying to chase them down, and because you are pressed against them, basically in between the vital image and the champ themselves, you simply aren't activating it. For champs like Olaf who have a ridiculously small attack range, a lot of the time the fight ends up being in your face and you end up not activating vitals, regardless of flawless maneuvering.

Maybe I am being a baby, and I don't have video evidence to show how this is enacted, so hopefully someone else can pop in and confirm this happens to them or at least let me know this feels like an issue. I just want to know if you were supposed to use Fiora's max attack range as the length you should be spaced to adequately proc the vital or not. Hope for a reply soon :D

I think possibly the reason for that is because you are so close to the enemy champion that it cannot correctly determine what side you're actually on.
