It seems pretty legit, just by how Riot balances their champs. If any of this is real I'm pretty disappointed, she sounds like she will be a lot weaker, and that W just seems slapped on with no congruence to her kit.
Actually to me it sounds like she'll finally have a half decent laning phase, with more Shunpoing and more damage if you pull it all off correctly. The new W gives her escape opportunities, or interesting combos such as this: Q + E + AA + W + E where basically she throws Q, goes in, refreshes her E, disengages and immediately after that she can reengage for the kill. It sounds like a cool concept to me, though I'm wondering how balanced she'll be.

Her passive resets are the same, but now she casts Sinister Steel on kill or assist. Her Q now only throws ONE dagger, but if you proc it, it resets shunpo, and after a short delay it explodes into a circle of daggers which mark and damage surrounding enemies. You can then proc them for more shunpo resets. Her W is similar to Nidalee's Cougar W. Kat slashes with her daggers in an area in front of her, damaging and STEALING movement speed. The more enemies hit, the more movespeed she gets. Her E is the same, except they removed the damage reduction and the warp jumps. Her Ult is the same, except they removed the Greivous Wounds. (They're still considering this one) She got a bunch of number changes all around. I promise and guarantee you this is the Katarina rework, although some slight changes may still occur. If you don't believe it, that's fine, but you WILL be proven wrong when it comes out.
Oh dear god. If her Shunpo still procs Q, that's Shunpo proccing it's own reset without needing to kill the target, then resetting again if her target dies. That's like... a minimum of 3 Shunpos per QWE kill.
