I am sure another Placement game question.

So here I am bronze 5 ... again, what ever i moved out of this cesspool into the deeper s5 cesspool multiple times. Here is my question. I finished s5... enter my placement games go 6-0... ooh ooh ooh i am getting excited!!! Ended up 7-3, not the best but pretty good at my mmr with the toxic flaming afk and " first time - enter champ name-" that seems to just fester here ( i know all ranks have baddies but the section of bad pie in this mmr is much higher). So the final game ends and i am looking forwards t s5 again... maybe s4 or even s3, i know from two years not to get my hopes up to much. So low and behold my surprise when bam Bronze 5 hits my screen like they are giving me a present. Can someone please explain to me the actual math. Also i request a bit of transparency in this part of the game from riot.

ya i seen that from couple years ago, my elophant and lolking mmr's place me right around s5 ( where i was ranked) so winning 7 games vs 3 games ( even vs lower mmr opponents) should have still left me with a positive mmr. I honestly figured s5 again yaaa woooo but ya your theory( with out actual backing or referals it is just that ) is sound it is also why i am so frustrated

Its certainly not exactly the way things work, that's information Riot won't release. But its as close to the actual system as any one is capable of producing after several years of working on it and gathering data points. Its understandably frustrating when a system lacks transparency. I think we all wish Riot would make the process less confusing and more transparent.

agreed.... oh well time to go troll wading again hahaha, but on the other hand i will not be spending more money o r inviting more friends to this game till this crap gets fixed ( probably never)

I ain't spent a dime in years. Riot doesn't get my money until they fix the client, find a solution to afks in ranked games, find a solution to scripting in ranked games, fix the ranked systems flaws as best they can, and a long list of other stuff. They checked off improving the servers finally. But one thing out of 1000 don't cut it for me. They can have some cash when they start taking care of the customers.

As far as ranking from here on out, give ranked a rest for a month. Let all the chaos die down, let people settle into their true rankings, and then go beat up on those true bronzies for a fast climb.

naw i hate normals lol i should climb fast enough the bad part is what if i did go 10-0 in placements then what i would be bronze 4
