Move Mordekaiser's shield to his Health Bar

League has had the tech for decaying shields in the health bar for years now, but Morde's shield is still in the resource bar, and for no better reason than "it's always been that way". His shield isn't a resource. Not only is it confusing for newcomers to the game, it's annoying and deceptive to any player, because you need to click on him and look at the upper left to see how strong his shield is. Sure, this takes a second at most, but it's a second longer than it takes to check any other shield in the game. Why?

Just put his shield in the health bar like every other champion in the game already.

It has bars just like your hp bar, each indicates 100 hp. I personally like it on his resource bar, but that's just my opinion.

hmm, this seems like a pretty good idea for clarity. at least it shows more accurately how much shielding he has relative to the rest of his health.

having 100% on his resource bar at level 1 is vastly different from having 100% at lvl 18.

Actually, it's better on the resource bar to help you see its cap, which is a fairly important aspect of Morde's shield mechanic

His shield isn't a resource, but it's important enough to Mordekaiser's kit that it should be considered as one.

League of Legends has quite a few champions with shields, but no other champion has nearly as much reliance on his shield than Mordekaiser, and it needs to stand out more with him.

With the way other shields work, you cannot immediately look at it and estimate how much health they have in their shield. With Mordekaiser's, you can estimate within tens of the actual amount of health he has, and you need to know that estimate, if not the actual amount, throughout the entire game.

Likewise, you can afford to click on Mordekaiser and look at the top left to see how strong his shield is, but you cannot afford to click on him and look for the buff that says how much shield he has, and that is what Mordekaiser would end up being if he gets his shield as a portion of his health bar instead of his resource bar.

The shield could definitely be more intuitive for new players, but changing it to being a shield in the health bar isn't the way to do it.

He also still needs an isolation indicator for his Q, just like Kha'Zix has.

This is a good example of a post about a non issue when there are so many actual issues to discuss : /

IS there any decaying shields besides Morde?

All the shields I know of stay at full strength until the timer runs out or they are hit.

I want to say there was something to do with how it interacts with damage mitigation as well. If it worked like a regular shield, his armor and magic resist would be affected differently. As is, his shield is effectively just more health, and not actually a shield at all. I could be wrong though.
