How did YOU escape Bronze? (Not me being toxic, I want advice)

This season I wasn't able to get out of Bronze, so I want to know if you're Silver or above, how did you get out? I'm not talking about the usual "git gud and cary" I want specific advice.

A couple quick things you can do to improve your gameplay the easiest.

  1. Don't die. I see in your match history that you have far too many deaths. There are a lot of games with 6/7+ deaths. This is not acceptable. Especially if you're dying in lane. If it means playing more passive in lane, then that's what you have to do. You should never die 1v1 in lane. And if you follow step 2 well, you really shouldn't die much in teammates (since you play Sion lol)
  2. CS. To be frank, your CS is awful. It's often under 4 cs/min. Shoot for having 100 cs by 15 mins in your games. Worry less about trying to fight the enemy and more about killing the minions. If you can keep up with about 7/8 cs/min, then you'll have a huge item advantage on the players that are only getting your typical 4 cs/min.
  3. Ward. Just do it. If you have a yellow trinket charge, place it. ALWAYS have a pink on the map (unless you're full build).

Without worrying about your position, etc., these thing are the easiest ways to improve your gameplay.

play support because it's actual freelo

the only people who play support and still don't get out of bronze are the ones who shouldn't even be allowed to play ranked

i spammed old taric and leona all up to silver, and then bard up to plat

edit: just play any champion that shits all over bad players and you'll get to gold easy

Play more games

IDK if you just started this season, and didn't have that much time to play ranked, but you only have 164 games in ranked. I consistently play on 3 accounts, and this account alone has over 400 ranked games played (Which is honestly still very little). If you want to improve, just spam play and you will likely get better.

Um, I got a better computer and internet at one point (used to play 10 fps 80 ping for 2 years from season 2 to end of 3 but now I have 140+ fps 39 ping) and instantly just got gold for season 4.

You have to carry your way out, that's how I did it. You can't rely on your team.

Play champs you KNOW you are good at, and ban your biggest counter.

Use /mute all right at the start of the game. Don't think of Bronze games as a team-oriented internet game, think of it as a single player solo carry game. Concentrate mostly on having a really good GPM ( Gold Per Minute ) and put some serious thought into your build paths. Even if you are buying the right items ( I Don't know if you are, I didn't check your match history ) think about whether or not you are building them in the right order so that when you leave base with components you have as much damage as possible (IE: On most champions it is a waste to stack crit chance if you don't have any damage yet.)

Work on dying less while being involved in more fights. If you are skilled then you want your team to have you in as many fights as possible since your skill will shine through and tip the battle in your team's favor. In order to do this you need to learn to play by staring at your minimap 90% of the time and learning to read the map so you know where you can make a pick or when you need to group.

If your GPM is high and you build properly (Each game should be a different build, builds are based on who you are against not just what you need to build on your champion. You will have maybe 1-2 core itemss but the other 4-5 items should be situational) are involved in the vast majority of the fights and you don't die too much you will win enough to get to at least silver 5.

It is simple:

  • Play fewer roles in ranked (just 2)
  • Play fewer champions in ranked (2 per role or 1 per role)
  • Focus on CS instead of trading and poking while laning
  • Focus on towers and not kills
  • Don't chase kills
  • Play champions that scale well into the late game (games are longer in lower elo). E.G., play this guy Jax and not this guy Renekton - play this guy Jinx and not this guy Lucian etc.
  • Play simple champions - don't play LeeSin instead play Amumu - don't play Gnar instead play Tryndamere

Pretty simple you will climb by just by specializing and csing better. That isn't even developing strategies or being coordinated with your team, it is just individually playing better.

I grinded 600 games on a champion I loved

It's not an effective way to do it

My first time climbing out of Bronze I played a lot of Karthus. Don't focus on kills, just try to farm. Stay safe. The reason I chose Karthus is because his kit fits well with the common mentality of your teammates. They will want to go ham, get kills, fight a lot, and your ult can do that extra 200 damage at level 6 that your top and bot laners will need, or that extra 1k late game. So yeah come team fights let yourself die then press R. Let your team clean up. You also can get random kills and assists, just don't leave yourself in a spot to get hit with cc while you're channeling it. Also, get a Rylai's. Your ult will slow, and when you die you will become a massive AoE slow zone, and your Q counts as single target when only hitting one person so if they're alone you get the stronger slow. Exhaust/Flash is good for protecting yourself against assassins.

I had a negative k/d ratio but a 70+% win rate.

I've never been in bronze. I hit Silver straight out of placements and never landed in bronze before.
