Clairvoyance a bit out dated?

Riot,

I feel that with the addition of the scrying orb that the summoner spell {{summoner:2}} is a bit out dated. If I want to scout a range, I buy blue trinket, not take clairvoyance! After all, which sounds more important: "Enemy Trinket down" -or- "Enemy Flash Down"

Summoner spells are WAY more important than trinkets. Currently, there is no reason to take clairvoyance. I would like to see a rework of this spell. Here are a few ideas:

Potential new {{summoner:2}} 1: Grants vision of the nearest enemy champion that you already do not have vision of for 10 seconds.

Benefit of this: Unlike blue trinket, this method would guarantee that you get useful vision. With blue trinket, there is a chance that you will just see nothing. The 10 second number could easily be changed to something appropriate. This clairvoyance could be used to check if an aggressive enemy actually has the support of his jungler, which would provide some security from banks.

Potential new {{summoner:2}} 2: Grants vision of an area until an enemy Champion walks into it. The champion is then revealed for 5 seconds.

This option's benefit would make clairvoyance like a superior ward, one that does not expire until it grants useful vision. This is much stronger than any trinket can offer and would thus make it a viable spell

Conclusion: {{summoner:2}} currently is pretty much useless with the arrival of item 3342 . Please find some way to buff this spell so people other than noobs take it. I have suggested two potential ways though any solution I will approve. Be creative, Riot.

Not something I ever considered but something I instantly agree with. That spell needs a rework bad.

With Rito's recent obsession with "strategic diversity," updating clairvoyance would definitely bring precisely that.

The other spell that needs a rework is {{summoner:10}} . Seriously, if you see someone who takes revive, they are either low-level or trolling. I don't want revive to become as op as it was on URF, but you could nerf its cooldown at early ranks to make it more viable, say via the following formula:

{{summoner:10}} cooldown = 250 seconds + 5 * number of seconds dead skipped.

This would keep the late game cooldown about the same, but buff its early game to make it more viable.

Clairvoyance cd is 60 seconds while scrying orb is 120 seconds, or double. Upgraded scrying orb is 90 seconds, or 1.5x longer than clairvoyance. Due to this the trinket cooldown is actually more important than the summoner spell's. You are absolutely wrong in this example.

Not to mention clairvoyance cd can be reduced further through support masteries, which is the role that used to take clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is just not taken because the other summoner spells are simply more powerful than it. The introduction of trinkets is just icing on the cake.

That being said, clairvoyance definitely does need buffs. I think a good buff for clairvoyance would be a team wide speed boost to the cv'd area. Similar to how vayne moves faster when she runs towards opponents.

Well i totally agreed like summoner 1 do nothing at all vs Warwick ulti... but {{summoner:2}} is just weird they remove the summuner buff from the mastry ... but with the mastery perso i think it was ok not too good but good ... you know you could use it for somethink like save a kill that go in a bush and go in a other one after 5 sec

But what they could put on it to make it good is this:

#1 lower cooldown #2 larger zone #3 revel invisible enemie and (may be ward too) #4 revel enemie for like 5 sec after they go way from the zone.

(just take some of thos and it will be good) but now it just flee like a bad item 3363

A global vision spell on a short CD? I actually quite like the spell as is. The problem is that Riot has reduced the value of vision to literally zero. Anyone can get a trinket for free or even get paid to kill the water bug. As a result, most people don't think it is worth using a summoner spell slot for vision.
