Katarina shunpo targetting logic change causing issues
Many patches ago, a change was made to Katarina's shunpo logic to automatically prioritize targeting enemy champs without needing to click on them. This change effectively ended her it's-not-a-bug-it's-a-feature "moonwalk". However, there was an unintended consequence that if you throw a Q dagger onto an enemy champ and shunpo'd to the dagger before it dropped, Katarina would automatically walk away from the dagger and AA the champ. As a result, the dagger would not be picked up and thus no dmg will be dealt.
Shunpo'ing to a dagger will still cause Katarina to target the nearest enemy champion even if the dagger pickup doesn't hit that champion. This causes a dangerous interaction if you did NOT want to walk toward that champion to attack it.
The other issue with this targeting change is that killing a minion with shunpo would clear her targeting priority since her target is dead and she ends up standing there doing absolutely nothing. Before this change, she would simply walk back to her original target to attack.
How it was before: Katarina would shunpo to a dagger and stand there if no valid target was clicked. If a valid target was clicked before the shunpo, she would moonwalk back to the original target. If you wanted to change targets, you had to manually click on them. This is more intuitive instead of RNG choosing which target to select for you.
Please look at this issue and make changes to targeting prioritization. It feels really bad for Kat to automatically walk away from a dagger bc shunpo'ing before it drops is how to surprise opponents. But now having to wait for the dagger to drop before shunpo'ing means opponents will not be surprised.
