He was Bronze 1, 2nd match after placements, what is wrong with placements that this guy get's paired in a 1200~1400 MMR match.

Players shouldn't have to check team mates, and dodge for shit outside their control. I don't have all day to spend on dodge timers.

Thats pretty fucked up. For the record it was solo Q too, not flex

Honestly, that doesn't even come close to some of the worst uneven matches I've played.

Ever tried going vs a full row of low-mid plats with a row of mid to high silvers and one gold? You're gold 3 ~ 70% winrate and thus the balancing lever that is supposed to be able to carry practically a full team of silvers vs a full team of plats, you have 15 games total including promos. Oh and yeah, the plats have a premade jungler and mid laner who are the best performing on their team, you have 0 premades, not that it would make a difference.

The irony, you're not even in your plat promo, you're in your gold 2 promo.

This is why I gave up on ranked, why bother trying to get to plat when matchmaking get's more retarded the closer you get. It would be bareable if this was an occational matchup and not the persistent rule for whenever your winrate starts rising.

Alas: The more you win, the more retarded teammates you get and the more scewered matches, this means even if you are better than your league rank, you will still have a hard as hell time trying to get where you belong, because the skill gap isn't big enough for you to be able consistently have to carry all lanes, since they will feed by default, every, single, fucking, time.

The only way to get around it is to grind hundreds of matches, because you know, better LoL than life.

Like what the fuck is 27+ LP worth if the matches are literally so goddamn scewered they are literally impossible to win for anyone below master league?

After three seasons of watching the same pattern repeat over and over I can only conclude that ranked is either rigged or utterly fucking broken.

So yeah, I don't bother with it no more.

I've seen worst, but I sympathize for you.

What you get placed with is based on your MMR; Your MMR may not always correlate with your rank (like if you go on a 10 game hotstreak by pure luck you, get inflated MMR since it may have been due more to sheer luck then skill) So you end up with a higher MMR then you usually would be, but most likely immediate fall back after that because your in a bracket you shouldnt be in.

While the above statement is quite rare, it can happen.

u can thanks Zyra & Yasuo duoing and u and ur premade... When duoing u f*** the matchmaking.

Starcraft243ver3/24/2017, 2:25:23 PM2 votes

Division and MMR Do not match After only 11 games.

The other explanation is he was premade with someone in your team.

He was duo'd with the Kled.

matches after placements this season are def fucked atm, i was playing with g5 mmr on my smurf in placements until the first match after i finished and got g5, i was in a p5 mmr game.

Jeanne fan club3/25/2017, 3:32:38 AM1 votes

I'd say that its because he was a high silver player last season, and his mmr would still stay at around that point. However, since he obviously did shitty in his placements, his actual rank starts out a lot lower.

This happens in high plat too, every now and then I get a gold 5 player vs a bunch of diamonds who ends up destroying them in the end. They may just be smurfs since they have a very small amount of games played, however their mmr is high because of where they were last season.

I think thats how it works. It passes the reasonable test at least. Rank doesn't mean as much as the magic matchmaking rating

Jökër3/24/2017, 6:50:15 PM1 votes

I mean in plat you can have gold 1's going up against diamonds and everything between I think the most mismatch I had was a silver 1 playing against a plat 1 in solo q anyways. Its what happens when people duo with people that are higher then them Edit: The silver 1 might have been gold 5 0lp and the website just didnt update

PePsiLemoNN3/25/2017, 9:01:48 AM1 votes

Nobody says it's ok

Gene Freakz3/24/2017, 7:21:13 PM1 votes

First question: was this solo, flex or norms? If solo that sucks and should not happen. If flex... yeah that's flex for you. If norms, yeah that's norms.

Segius3/25/2017, 6:41:10 PM1 votes

well how did he do?

GULAG 4 U3/24/2017, 11:17:43 PM1 votes

The enlightenment you seek is known as 'MMR'

tXQbsPrjN53/24/2017, 7:10:37 PM1 votes

Because only a amateur would've split your rank that matters (because rewards) with your actual rank. And this is precisely Riot not only did but refuses to admit was a mistake.
