i did alright with zyra mid 4/0/4 with a nice and easy surrender. the secret is to get items faster than your opponent, you dont want to be playing zyra while behind and dealing no damage at all.

Honestly, her nerfs weren't that hard. It was only BAD Zyras that suffered who would just Q their seeds and essentially have free freaking harass with little interactivity.

I'd say the Rioters in charge of Zyra and Varus nerfs are actually rather smart in that the way they nerfed them was the way good Zyras should've been using their abilities anyways instead of just straight numbers nerfs!

GOOD Zyras will use their Q's to hit champs anyways (and thus proc plant priority) for maximum potential DPS... with maybe a few misses. If they're already hitting champs with their spells then... the plants will target them. The AI change is hardly a hard-hitting nerf. It just seperates the good Zyras from the bad. :P

Though if champs are the only thing around (say, in river?), they'll still prioritize champs anyways since they're the only thing around. It'd be stupid if they just didn't attack at all.

It was a nerf yeah, but in a way that didn't really hurt Zyra mains that much that have put time and effort in to learn and master her kit and learn the intricacies of her. They already played that style. Net nerf, yeah. You lose out on BS free harass (which is something Riot seems to be on a rampage for when it comes to nerfs) AND the mana cost on her Q went up. But hardly nerfed to oblivion.
