This legitally plague me for like three days since I played my match vs a Taric/Lucian bot lane.

How Lucian's go through black shield? What are you talking about?
It isnt magic damage, same goes for Ezreal Q.
Well, because it doesn't block spells per se.
Morgana's black shield is an "AP Health" kind of shield that also shields the user from CC, but it doesn't evaporate the incoming spells, and since Lucian's damage is physical, it can't block it, but I suppose it can block W as it's magic damage.
Are you asking how his spells damage through Morgana's black shield? Well they're ad... are you confused why black shield doesn't block a black guy's spells? Well because that would not be very nice.
