Taric and Catalyst of Aeons

I have been playing with Taric for a while now. I notice that once i have on taric my game output gos crazy. getting damage gives me mana which i can cast Q to heal me and the team and bash people real hard. Taric has mana issues IMO and having catalyst push me over the edge. i can then build other tanky item and end it with mask or if i need to mini flash.

My question is while looking up taric on champion.gg or https://na.op.gg/champion/statistics i dont see anything about people using this item. why is that?

building catalyst is not a supports items and usually builds into more expensive items, which supports to by since they need to be efficient with their gold to buy things that will help their team instead of having to wait for something when they do not activlly farm since they are just there to help there adc farm to a good spot.

and you mean item 3152 not item 3030 for a mini flash, and even though they are cheap, you are not there as taric normally for dealing damage just making sure to keep your team alive.

its all about being efficient with your gold as a support which is why you dont see any building any catalyst early maybe late for a abyssal mask but thats usually rare on taric too

or you can build redemtpion, and run windskeepers and build mik crucible for a total of 40% increased healign and shielding...that is better then what your building

yeah i normely build it after i get gold item lvl 2, boots and sightstone. once i get catalyst i can go frontline and cast healing quite often. it saved my team a lot of time.

i normely get redemption in my build. since the % is good and i do have windspeaker for the extra armor to team and the % heal. i normally only upgrade the calatyst last unless i have a heavy ap team and i think they could benefit from the extra 10% damage to enemy champion

maeby having crucable will give enought mana regen to replace the catalyst. i will try it out and judge on it.

arden censor seem to be use more often then crusible. 10% less heal but giving attack speed and the on hit effect seem to make sence. with the added movement speed it feels like its better too
