Champs like Malphite or Amumu. I need to know how to pick and play against them. I'm talking teamfight phase.
Those champions make their fights really strong so I've tried taking a split champ, but the other 4 can be easily engaged on from my exp.
Could you help by giving some champion examples or strategy to counter them?

dont group so tightly that your entire team gets caught in their ult pick janna or soraka support pick a team comp that is great at zoning so that it will hopefully discourage a full on dive on your team

I was going to say, split push champ. If the other 4 champs get engaged on, that something they need to be able to deal with.
thought if your not playing a top laner, you could pick someone with Disengage like Janna. Just make sure You have plenty of CC.
Or failing that work out a plan to never let the other team have a big fight.
Champions with disengage power can effectively cancel the engage.
Some champs with varying degrees of disengage are:
Support: 
Mid: 
(kinda)
(weaker yet, but kinda)
Top/Jungle: 
(send that diver back through his team)
ADC: 
Alternatively, taking an dive tank yourself may allow you to counter-dive and lock down their carries while their tank has yours locked down.
Of course, you have to make sure you don't get caught in the engage yourself so you can fire your engage/disengage.
