TIL that walking out of base with no trinket gives you a warding totem

It is neat, but don't do it! Buy the Trinket, and buy it first thing as you come into the match. The cooldown on the ward starts immediately and you'll have the next ward up sooner than someone who bought their trinket last or just walked out of the base without a trinket. This can be impactful since ward cooldowns are so long early on.

Riot implemented it a few patches after trinkets were released so players who would keep forgetting to buy one would always get it.

It's a pretty neat function

I've gotten so into the habit of buying it that I have never seen this happen.
