Player afks for half the game and massive point loss in ranked because of it

Why are we still losing so many points for having a player afk or dc for half a game? Its getting really ridiculous having a player disconnect for the majority of the game then reconnect and still lose the same amount of points for ranked. Since the start of this season its probably happened about a dozen times already. Please look for a solution to this garbage as it is effecting rank negatively even if individual play ends up being decent. Its a kick in the nuts every time you cant remake and have to take a loss and hit to your rank because of a teammate that decided hot spotting their phone was the best way to get internet.
