i wanted gp nerfed but not with a skill cap reduction...

Just fyi I'm not trying to make gp busted, just liked being creative with how the barrels interacted and now a lot of that is gone. As a gp main i wouldn't mind him getting nerfs, health and early armor reduction, scalling movespeed, less q gold, all work for me. Nerfing the barrels the way riot did tho really gets to me though because there were a lot of things a good gp player could abuse there that a newby couldn't. For example whenever I backed I would put a barrel down between 1st and 2nd tower, and while i was walking back to lane i could hit it to get there faster. I didn't see other gps do that and it felt great to do something that was unique to my style. similarly throwing a barrel chain in the river when i didn't have a ward and keeping a hardcore eye on it. The jg could get a free 20-30 gold, and could gank again and f me, but it felt nice to be able to do something that was less common amongst other gps. Now these things and others are gone and I'm really frustrated. If you ask me gp should have a 49% winrate at any given point cause at least from bronze-gold he has a skill curve due to his odd interactions, and i don't mind nerfs to keep him there, but i don't mind nerfs that stop the best players from being the best players. I understand this was targeted at pro play, but its just such a rough nerf. why not revert the gold passive changes and the flame sword buffs? or make his movement speed buffs scale into what they are now so he cant run away from everyone lvl3. Hell chop off another 50 hp lvl 1 I don't care. but skill cap nerfs really get me. all of this leads me to the question what riot wants from gp. cause ever since he lost getting half mana for killing creeps hes had issues with taking grasp and items like it. so do they want him to fight early or be a hyper carry? bc i always wanted a more fun nasus, which is what his silver serpant mechanic suggested he would be, but riot is forcing him to fight more and farm less and its just a mess of balance
