countering eve

hello guys,

just looking for advice on how to deal with eve, other than banning her. i am silver 3 and i always struggle when playing against her. I main support and these are my fav champions : zyra, taric, alistar i choose which support to play based on how much cc we need, or tankiness, or sustain, or just pure dmg.

eve seems to have a huge amount of burst damage as well as her charm and slows. today me and adc were kind of even in lane, 2 kils to each side, then suddenly we got a very bad trade. so we left quick to our tower to recall, while trying to recall eve came out of no where to our tower ( could not even see her on our own tower ) though we did hear a sound that she comming and we know she is coming, but by the time she appeared, we both got bursted in what seem like half a second.

i normally put a pink ward on our brush, does that still work on her?

Counter jungling. That helps keep her behind.

Pink wards still work on her, she has camouflage and not invisibility.

Her pre 6 ganks are weak if you ward correctly so you shouldn’t bother much about that. Her post 6 ganks are stronger because she has a good aoe execute and can escape with her ult.

General advice against Evelynn: dodge her Q at all costs, especially if you’re marked, but remember that even if she misses the first spike she can still hit you with the second part of her Q, so dodging it and staying in range is not a good idea. Also, if you have summoners use them while you can. If she’s close to you and she can burst you and then finish you, just flash before she can get you low since her ult is hard to dodge and deals a good amount of damage when you’re below 45% HP.

And don’t forget to group up. She’s bad in teamfights (like every other melee assassin, even more tbh) and she can’t really assassinate people without her charm (and if she charms your adc, just group around him unless you’re against a Malphite or stuff like that).

For your jungler: counterjungle her. She is fairly weak early and many jungles should be able to fight her.

Besides that, like before, always have a control ward up to get warned. Replace it every time she destroys it and try to always place it differently, that she can't just walk around it.

Besides that, what applies to other assassins. If she comes too close to your carry, CC her, exhaust her if necessary and burst her down.

Unrelated question: I got the feeling your IGN is a Clannad reference. Am I right or just seeing things? ^^
