Game snowball is better after the hotfix

Conqueror viable on fighters and a few mages (no changes yet)

Small rift herald buff

Changes for Yuumi/Braum to help them be viable for normal play (not just pro)

Working on Sylas mechanics for a later patch

Nerfs Senna, Ryze, Kassadin, Aurelion Sol, Akali, Garen

Buffs Yuumi, Braum, Karma, Rammus, Amumu, Azir, Corki, Sivir

Systems Rift Herald reward increase

Omnistone ''smart'' rune selection

Q & A Q: Why Aurelion Sol?

A: Asol riding that new conqueror into space (get it). Seriously though, conq play style is fun for him so we think letting him keep it is the better path.

Q: Can you share something more about the new 'smartness of omnistone?

A: It looks to increase odds for keystones when they are more usable.

Update: A. Sol nerfs have been removed from the patch preview:

Digging in more, we see conqueror as too good on too many ranged users so we're adding a ranged focused nerf to the keystone. -Asol nerf removed -Ryze nerf will be softer

Here's the current iteration of the Senna changes:

These are the Senna nerfs we're currently testing. Goal is to nerf Senna in all positions, but hit ADC Senna MORE than support (ADC is 2-3% stronger on preseason patch). Hitting her safety(root duration and HP), Q poke/waveclear, and soul generation while CS'ing

Yuumi needs meaningful kit changes before buffs, she's just going to stay toxic otherwise.

Balancing Aurelion Sol around conqueror is a bad idea. They should balance conqueror instead and/or give ASol better options for keystones.

That e buff on yuumi is rl problematic. Yuumi is toxic at its core and needs a major rework I still cannot understand how such a champion was greenlit

Calling the yuumi changes a buff is a bit generous, if they release the changes with current numbers her winrate will likely plummet more, i like the general changes to E but am hesitant about it now being the highest non ult mana cost in the entire game but the real change which is why i would call this a nerf is the Q duration dropping from 3 to 2 seconds on top of higher mana means it will be almost impossible to land on anyone with good positioning now.

The other changes make sense though if they don't change it so you can't be immobilized while rotating hosts i'll be a bit annoyed as that means its better to let folks die, though losing it from hopping out and getting locked down is fine.

Amumu, Rammus, and Karma seem like weird picks for buffs. Amumu is forgotten, and last time they touched him his winrate went up to almost 54%, Rammus is already in a really good spot with the new Aftershock, and Karma was also in a good spot going into the preseason, unless a rune change changed that.

Also, has anybody else thought about an Aphelios Heimer bot? Think of all of the turrets.

And what do you think they mean by Rift Herald reward increase? Will Herald be more powerful, or will it also give you a buff or something?

The Q nerf on Senna is good but I don't know about the rest of the changes. She doesn't need to be squishier and her W is not the problem. The lower spawn chance on killed minions seems like pigeonholing her into the Support role. It feels like they're throwing the baby out with the bathwater and I think they could have gone a different route but we'll see how it plays out.
