What was your least favorite/the worst meta to you?

I feel like all we do is look to how bad the present is, and how bad the future will be, but makes me wonder what we think of metas in comparison when we take a step back.

What was the worst time period for you so far? One that if you ever had to relive you'd probably quit league today or take a vacation.

For me I hated the assassin and tank update of season 7. Too many assassin's kits felt ruined and became bigger balance nightmares then before when the goal was the make them more balanced, and the tank meta was just super boring and to this day still impacts the game in a negative way for me.

EDIT: would also be cool if a rioter pitched in here, would like to see what they personally admit was an unenjoyable mess even for them.

all of them i hate any meta, i hate playing the same shit over and over again

and if people here in this post claim that one meta was fun, it was because they're biased and their characters were good in that meta

just like how i hated lethality meta the least, because darius and morde were good in that meta but even lethality meta was bullshit, with malzahar support rylai abusers and so much cancerous things like rengar/kha/talon

I hate the tanky jungler meta (especially when they introduced the broken tank jungling item, no one noticed it but the % hp given is ridiculous)... Why I hate it ? Well, tanky junglers have better objective control and pressure : they are just better junglers as a whole. Indeed, what always happens is that you catch the ennemy jungler, and then you can try to get Nashor with ur team, with no risk of getting outsmited. The thing is that it is easy to kill a squishy jungler, but it is almost impossible to catch and kill a tanky jungler (you need to have a lot of damage, to be more than 1, you need to chase, well that is so bad because you risk to lose the game instantly doing that). Also, they can tank towers, setup dives and control the flow of the game, and so on.

Tank meta (when tank dealt insane damage while being unkillable) was the worst imo. The current one is bad obviously, but I really hated the tank meta.

you recall sunfire gaunlet meta. that wasnt tank meta any champ could build that combo and do the same thing.

yeah mostly when like everyone became incredibly tanky and killing everything Ekko Fizz Akali Yasuo brrrr... I still have nightmares. Sorry if it's not the tank meta

Probably late season 3/season 4/into season 5: the everyone hates Janna meta. Oh, and assassins were in, followed by tanks.

During August in season 3, Janna was way too OP (playing any role, including jungle successfully). They nerfed her... then they nerfed her... then they nerfed her... then they nerfed her.... This went on for almost 2 years, and as someone who played Janna exclusively for half of that time period, it was hell.

The first nerf gutted her, making her a slightly OP mid/support (like - at the time - Sona, or Annie, or... see where I'm going with this?), the second nerf relegated her to support only; the next nerfs were overreacting - so badly that they eventually gave her a massive buff to make up for the nerfs after the first 2.

And the worst part? Sona kept getting slight buffs during this period, Annie got one or two buffs, Karma got buffs... I honestly still think someone at Riot hates Janna, finding ways to nerf her whenever they can.

My personal least favourable meta is the Ahri meta. I don't like competition for my main champ.

The current meta is one of the worst since it's just League of Tanks and ADCs, although it's pretty much always been league of ADCs. Season 7's meta was good since carries weren't the most important part of every team.
