I haven't been playing this game for as long as others...

But I feel the most shafted out of anyone about the rune refunding. I started playing sometime last February, and bought most, if not all of my runes and pages before the beginning of season 7. So essentially I am getting refunded as if I have been playing this game a long time, but in reality I only used those tier 3s for maybe 12 months max (most of them less, didn't get more than 2 rune pages until like September last year), because I was almost done leveling when they halved the exp required to hit 30 (aka I couldn't buy tier 3s until midway through last year).

Not only this, but I have dropped significant amounts of real money to attain all of the champions since I started playing. So I'll have no champions to spend the essence on, and if I calculated right I'll only get around 11k blue essence which will most likely not be very much for the blue essence chroma/ward skin/icon sale.

Literally the only thing I can be happy about is that I bought rune pages during 2 for 1 sales, so the epic skin isn't all that bad as a replacement.

I understand that business is business, but refunding 100% of newer player's IP spent on runes and only a fraction of the cost for older players is really the main issue with runes reforged. I'm not personally too enthusiastic about learning how to play the game again already, but it is not like I have to learn to play the game again whereas the people who started playing this year don't.
