What is the downside for camping a lane?
Why is it that a jg can sit on one lane over and over without losing anything? The jg is ruining early game for players

You do lose a lot:
- You have a predictable location for counterjungling attempts.
- You cannot influence other lanes.
- You cannot threaten other objectives.
- You leave your jungle vulnerable to engages.
- A defensively played lane denies you a lot of your gold/xp.
There are plenty of downsides to camping like The Djinn said, but those only show if the other lanes are even. If the other lanes are losing then it doesn't matter if you camp or not. Or if they camp mid(which has its disadvantages). And in either case, camping doesn't matter as much.
You go 0/4/4 with top using no summs to help you with the gank cus he hates you.

I love it when the jungler camps my lane, because it gives my jungler free roam of dragon, mid, and bot, which will lead a larger advantage in the long run.
There is no downsides.
Feels like they lose nothing because no one capitalizes on these thing you guys are saying. Everyone just focused on thier own minions so jg is free to hit lanes 3-4 times so you have no hope of playing a lane
To clarify I am talking about top or mid, an even matchup where all players have equal skill, but one side is getting camped and has died to the first gank and now is playing more safe. My point is now this top or mid has no chance of playing a fair lane matchup because hes getting ganked over and over. The enemy jg has nothing better to do after the clear so he sits there and camps
Camping one lane is beneficial if the laner is not a clown and helps other lanes with their lead. For example if i camp top and get him fed and take top tower early with herald he SHOULD tp bot and help snowball that lane while i focus on mid or vice versa. Most top laners are idiots tho and follow trick2g memes and split push all day while dying to a 1v4 or 1v3 which throws their lead into the trash
