Guardian Stoneplate - Theory
A common question I've been seeing about the new Stoneplate item is it's affect on True Damage
Gargoyle Stoneplate Total Cost: X Recipe: X Sells for: x +40 Armor +40 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive - Stone Skin: If 3+ enemy champions are nearby, grants 40 bonus Armor and Magic Resist. UNIQUE Active - Metallicize: Increases Health by 40% and increases champion size, but reduces damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds (90 second cooldown). If Stone Skin is active, the Health increase becomes 100% instead.
I BELIEVE that, according to the wording, it means ALL Damage being done by the champion with the item is reduced by 60%
So if
noms
for 500 True Damage BEFORE the item is activated, then while the item IS activated
now noms
for 200 True Damage(60% of 500 is 300, so 500 minus 300 = 200)
Just how I interpret it, I understand the confusion though. We've never had a self-inflicted damage Debuff before this, but True Damage is unable to be negated by the receiver, not the giver. I think.
