Players cheating in ranked?

So I was just playing a ranked game and as I began to win and push as yorick, my ping started skyrocketing, upwards to 1000 ping, but only whenever the enemies got near me...

Are there cheaters in this? I have been playing this game for a few months now and never encountered anything like it, there was another player on my team claiming the same as well, I just blew it off as bs, but then it started happening to me too.

I honestly think it was the Olaf doing something, anytime he got near, my ping went high.
