Champ select doesn't pop up the client anymore

I have accidentally dodged way too many games because I'm used to my league client popping back up once it's time for me to lock in/ban a champ. Is this feature ever coming back? I'm so tired of having to wait another 30 mins for a match because it doesn't do what I'm so used to and forget to lock in.
