I play Lux as mid and support and it always amuses me to see a support on the enemy team because 90% of the time they're damage built and ksing.

One of the best (e.g. most supporty) builds I've found is item 2301 item 3174 item 3107 item 3504 item 3158

Last slot can go to item 3190 or item 3026 depending on need.

It's not hard to build support, even with Lux, so it's really amusing to see a badly-built support Lux who just lets their adc die all day.

I've just personally never been a fan of Zhonya's, but I admit it can be a serious pain in the dick to deal with. I was laned against a Katarina as Lux mid, which was already fun, but when she Zhonya'd my ult and then proceeded to kill-hop through 3 teammates to get to me for a Quad (under tower) I was cursing that stupid hourglass with my entire being. My ult would've killed her, she had 400 hp

I don't normally build "support" stuff on Lux but when it's a game where it could go either way and my adc is having a hard time staying alive, I will. My game last night with Sona (concept still applies), I was going against a Brand support who, ironically, went full AP and was basically two shotting Lucian. I built support items first instead of the damage sheen items that Sona goes well with. Still did pretty good without them. Same concept applies with Lux though, I'll go support builds and still do pretty well.
