New graphics card FPS help

Hi so i used to have a gtx 750ti in my system and recently just installed an evga gtx 1080 ftw and for some reason my fps is capped at around 74 when before i was getting well over 100 all the time. V synch is off, i did the clean driver uninstall with ddu and all my settings are the same from what i can see. Anyone have any ideas? The fps had gone back right after the drivers were installed but this morning i turned my computer back on and checked and the issue had returned.
