What the hell is up with Kayn?

Is this seriously the direction Riot is going in when it comes to champion design and gameplay? It's just so uninspired, I remember seeing this guy for he first time on a video thumbnail and immediately thought he was some kind of character for one of those crappy second rate Mobas, or fucking Paladins. I had a similar feeling when Rakan and his fuckbuddy came out, but their kits seemed interesting so I didn't pay them much thought, although i still feel like they're bland in design and theme. He's the scythe champion people wanted, and boy did they deliver. And now we have what looks like one of those crappy high school OC things that the Emo kid draws in art class. That is what is on the champion roster of league of legends for the rest of time, great.

Kayn also has a pretty shit kit, like most people have said already, Talon and Zed's lovechild. With a hint of Yas. Not shit as in necessarily bad, but boring. Also why is his ultimate point and click? I thought riot wanted to get rid of abilities like that. You reworked Poppy and changed her ult, veigar and ryze no longer have a point and click q, so on and so forth.

I don't know, I just feel disappointed, I remember when upcoming champions were exciting. I was interested to see new concepts and experience different ways to play the game with a completely new character. But now I see champions like Aurelion, fuck-duo and Kayn and just give them a passing glance. I mean I'll ban them if it's boring to play against them but that's it.

But on the bright side Urgot has finally been reworked after so many years of suffering.

Urgot was a great step forward in champion reworks after seeing embarrassments like Galio and Yorick. He feels like a breath of fresh air to play. His kit fits well with his theme, while still keeping some classic Urgot in there. His ult is the cherry on top of the brutal strawberry sundae that he is. And all in all that makes the rework pretty great and gives him a solid identity and gives me some hope for the future. I'll add more if you feel like I'm missing substance, it's just typing on a phone is a pain.

Riot is never going to remove all point and click abilities, only the ones they deem is too oppressive (lacking drawbacks or counterplay options to justify the point and click).

Most of your analysis is highly personal/opinionated if not also just false or even contradictory too (in terms of contradicting yourself, you literally said you want to see new champs change up the game, then immediately follow it by shatting on the champs that do that in some way in the sentence right after it). But whatever.

What this? Kayn's the most fun I've had playing a new champ in a while. Sure, his character and theme isn't that unique or interesting, but the gameplay is a blast.

Is there a point to this?
